Brett Carmel
Senior Managing Director
Brett Carmel co-founded Seale & Associates in 1999 and is the senior managing director. Mr. Carmel has more than 25 years of extensive cross-border international M&A transaction and corporate finance experience. Mr. Carmel has advised public and private companies in a broad range of industries on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, valuations, fairness opinions, strategic alternatives assessments, and various corporate finance mandates.
Mr. Carmel is an active mentor to founders and Board member at several start-up and early growth stage companies, including in the fintech, insurtech, and green tech sectors.
Prior to joining Seale & Associates, Mr. Carmel worked with Mr. Seale for an investment bank in Washington, D.C. on a wide variety of M&A engagements. He was also a financial analyst for the U.S. Surface Transportation Board.
Mr. Carmel taught mergers & acquisitions as a Professional Faculty Member at The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business. Mr. Carmel has been a featured speaker on M&A and corporate finance related topics at several industry association meetings and higher education conferences, including at IPADE and the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico.
Mr. Carmel received a M.B.A. in International Business and a M.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a B.A. in Political Science with high honors from the University of Florida.
