Seale Advised Grace on the Divestiture of its Specialty Vermiculite Business

Seale & Associates announced that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to W. R. Grace & Co. ("Grace") on the sale of its specialty vermiculite business to Vermiculite Acquisition Corp., a sister company of Specialty Vermiculite Corp. Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Specialty Vermiculite Business, headquartered in Enoree, South Carolina, is a leading producer of branded high-performance vermiculite products in North America with annual production of approximately 50,000 tons. Vermiculite is a natural occurring mineral used in a broad range of applications, such as spray-on fire protection, lightweight insulating concrete, various soil mixes and amendments, and animal feeds.

The Business is vertically integrated, operating six processing facilities capable of producing both expanded vermiculite and perlite. The Specialty Vermiculite Business sells to customers around the world.
